I couldn't let of the stupid remarks about SEO women go unchallenged.
Funny to see women honking in Twitter. Sad to see no men honked though. Does no one have a sense of humor anymore? I swear to god, if I have to put on my cheerleading outfit, or maybe the French Maid uniform, just to get a honk from the males......
Great post Kim. Know that there are some men in the industry who have a lot of respect for SEO women. I noticed some of the same comments you pointed out and felt like I'd stepped back in time. You hope people would be long past certain attitides, but sadly some aren't.
Yeah. I'm happy to say that nearly every SEO man I know loves and adores SEO women.
However, for the small percentage of Archie Bunker sexist newcomers who have no freaking idea how to get past their own rah rah, I thought the penis enlargement lead-in was a stroke of genius. One needs to talk to their level and all.
I was also amazed that Danny Sullivan had to defend his speaker situation (again). Danny values and respects skills, hard work and talent. Period. Ask Tamar about her first speaking gig sometime. It was Danny that got her up there.
I love women that shoot pool, but SEO women have my respect.
I think there are just fewer women than men in SEO. The women the SEO industry is graced with are just as sharp as the men.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Sexism doesn't really fit into the subjects covered by Sphinn, which are web design, marketing, usability, search engines and social media.
In the Sphinn world whether a poster is female shouldn't make a difference any more than if they are young, old, nude, green, blue, from Down Under, or from any other place on our planet.
I am all for better spam protection on Sphinn since many of the new topics appear to be way, way, way off.

crashingflwrgrl LOL I seek balance is all. It's not about "women power" at all (like one commenter wrote).
It's about recognizing that men and women can't be categorized and lumped into piles of traits. Whenever I see an ego manic remark from a man such as "Their time will come..." I cringe at that lack of awareness of the world around them and obvious lack of knowledge on the history of the SEO industry.
@JohnHGolde - what in the world are you talking about? Your comment above just left me scratching my head, and i just had to comment on it.........where was there anything mentioned in the article about the sex of a poster on Sphinn?

Why is this being turned into a sexist or presumed to be a sexist industry? If you are good you are GOOD! doesnt matter if you are a woman or a man! HONK to you ladies either way but really don't see the point of this?
