Refresh my memory if I am wrong, but didn't my Writing 101 class teach that there were more writing options other than merely a Pro or Con debate? So, this author lifted one section from his writing text book and added the same old tired Google propaganda that has already been said a million times before. That is hardly Sphinn worthy.

TY for the post! Our website was recently reviewed by a SEO consultant and one of the recommendations was to add more content about the service we offer, which also happens to be the keyword we're trying to rank for in search engines. As usual, the boss  gave me the assignment of writing the content, but I was struggling with how and where to start. Your content writing article really gave me a great outline and pointed me in the right direction. Thx again!

While this pro/con writing style may be appropriate (and expected) in blog sites, it's simply not appropriate for a lot of other types of sites (in my case, an eComm site).  As far as this article itself is concerned, bolding every target keyword within a body of text makes the page just LOOK spammy,  even if it contains information that is useful to the reader.

@ LittleMissSEO - I agree that the content writing advice may not fit into the mold of most eComm sites, but there are a few such as Dell that does use a simplified version of this. For example their Studio 15 laptop. It provides an intro and provides pros (simplified outline form), but replaces the summary with a call the action (expected of an Ecomm site). Thx for the feedback on the page appearing spammy, I'm thinking about removing the bolds and add H2/H3 tags instead for each of the topics covered.
